Pretty Pooch

It was a very busy weekend for me, Saturday and Sunday were mostly consumed with painted my soon to be Rug Hooking Studio, I would say about half of the area is painted now and the fireplace is partly done also. I didn't think the drywall guy would ever finish he would come to the house for a few hours once a week, weeks went by and then months. But all's well that ends well.

Thought I'd share a pretty pooch pattern on this Sunday night, the small photo in the left had corner is all that Nancy had to go by. She photocopied the photo to get the shading details which is a common practice. As you can see from the photo he is hooked with many shades of black and grey.

The last photo is the finished product.

99.9% Done Boston Terrier

Update on the Boston Terrier Rug, I put a meter stick on the rug to show how very large it is.

The owner of this rug will be placing it in her front entrance and as you walk in you'll see the Dog Dixie and as you leave you will again see a full image of Dixie. One more batch of sage green to dye tonight. I have all the wool dyed for the previous post on the 2 Horses also.

If you are wondering why I didn't blog for 2 days I brought home another rescue dog that need some specialize love and care. You can read about Jackson in our local Animal Shelter Blog.

Jackson already went home this afternoon so I'm filled with joy and sadness at the moment.

Keeping with the Doggie Theme

This is an older rug that I had posted on my WebSite. I've almost finished my new webpage re-design that is what is taking me away from posts on this site and doing any of my own rug hooking. I have not even bothered to update the site recently being completely annoyed with the old template I was using.

Doggie Days - Bobbie

This little dog pattern reminds me of my childhood dog, I used to dress him up in doll clothes hehehe. Bobbie was a pure breed Boston Terrier and he brought lots of joy into our lives.

Below the the original pattern hand drawn by Nancy, the pattern really doesn't come life until you see the finally results. Nancy used Elizabeth Black's Black which is the perfect color for animals, not too too black, just right.
