Landscapes - designed from an Anne-Marie Littenburg

If you look in the Hooked Rug Landscapes and see Anne-Marie Littenberg's 'Cedar in Hayfield' this is the pattern that inspired one of my friends to hook this rug, she will be displaying it at a local Rug Hooking Show this summer. Most of these girls are camera shy but are OK with me showing their rugs, beautiful work on this one.

La Little Purse

Thought I'd share this little purse pattern with everyone, I've seen alot of people designing purses this year and this one makes me want to design one myself. The second photo shows a close up of the purse opening, using a piece of Velcro to make easy and quick access inside the purse, the 3rd photo shows the back and the purse handle, the back of the purse is a piece of recycled material and the handle is from the Dollar Store, great idea!!!

Loonie update, another version of the same print

I guess I could call this one Toonie, 'Loon on the Water' hooked with a more horizontal pattern, the soft sky blue with some heavy abrushing is being used for the sky area. Behind the Loon the water is more of a teal blue with a small amount of white crests. Hooked with #3 and #4 cut wool.
Gracie is nearly finished this one and I believe she is moving onto a Horse Pattern next.

Loonie Day Update

99.9% done, Grace has finished her Loon on the Water Pattern, just a few more stripes to finish on the left side. Well then there is the edging and most of us hate to do the edged whipping stitch.
Tomorrow I'll show you the second Loon on Water pattern that she has hooked, I'm still undecided which one is better. Stay Tuned.

Update from the Stash

New Colors are always a nice way to start the weekend, I forgot to even take a photo till now. I've been seeding my lawn and rake, rake, raking rocks this weekend. I'm hoping by next weekend the grass will start.

My Little Foster Girl

I have some extra mouths to feed these days, I have a foster mom and her kitten at my house, yesterday 'she' not named, finally pee'd for the first time in her litterbox, I was like a proud mom, we are still working on the drinking milk from a bowl or soft food, but for some reason last night she enjoyed a few pieces of cooked potatoes. She has a favorite spot in the kitchen where my Fraser Cutter sits. The two kids that stay with us most of the time now very much enjoying the kitten and asking if we can keep her, she is just starting to play and being so very young good around my dog compared to the mother cat whom obvisously was not around dogs much and commonly attacks poor Libby.
So half of me says to keep her and the other half of me says to just make sure she has a good home as there will be hundreds more just like her in my lifetime coming through the shelter doors.

Following on the progress - little boy's hat and suspenders

Beside the little girl , the little boy is coming along nicely, he has a grey/brown treed & red hat and the suspenders are a primitive dark blue with speckles of red. His shirt is also in the Dorr White, which is a sharper white then the Dorr Natural. Nice Work Kim.
