Off to the Shelter

I'm off to the Shelter tonight my second life and my second BLOG. I'm not sure what we'd do in this area without the Shelter the number of dogs and cats that go through their doors. I have been doing the website for about 3 years and I think I have a photo of almost every breed of dog God created and some very funny mixtures too. Try a Lab and Bassett hound O My. Half of the dogs at the shelter this week have been rescued from homes where the owners had them tied and beaten. I have 2 dogs that are not to be put on the website as they are in hiding and suffered terrible lives. We just have to keep strong and save one life at a time.

10 Minute Challenge , I'll try it

10 Minutes I think I can do that, I have been a little bummed out this month and maybe just maybe this will help me. I'm thinking about doing my 10 minutes on my lunch hour as I have 3 partially done rugs in the closet. Out of sight out of mind they say.

New Blog from an old friend

This photo is an oldie, you have to be a real pet lover to order special costumes for your pet and dress them up for Halloween. P.S. Libby was a Nurse last year.

Welcome to Millie's Mat the newest Blogger I'm following.

Christmas in July

I'm starting to think about Christmas, and digging through the Xmas Patterns to sell.

July seems early to most I'm sure but if anyone rug hooks as slow as I they better start now. I've been collecting the linings from any of the skirts I find at the local second hand shop when searching for wool in the bins. These are nice to put inside the Christmas Sock to keep the items inside from catching on the wool hoops.

Keeping with the Doggie Theme

This is an older rug that I had posted on my WebSite. I've almost finished my new webpage re-design that is what is taking me away from posts on this site and doing any of my own rug hooking. I have not even bothered to update the site recently being completely annoyed with the old template I was using.

Dixie the Boston Terrier

It's Dixie the Boston Terrier, this is the partly finished rug, the color swatch on the right will be the background I changed my mind and now have dyed the #16A lightly abrushed. There are 2 very large prints of Dixie on this rug , being approx 3 Feet by 5 Feet. I will update you as the rug processes.

Few original pics of Kathy Schultze's Dixie in her home in the U.S.A

Another Green but not right yet.

Thank You to my Blogger friends for helping me name these 2 new wool colors I'm going to be using both names. I think the wool background in the top of the photo will be Smoky Turquoise and the bottom of photo Storm at Sea.

I'm back to the boiling pot again to try another shade of green just a little bit lighter and a little less abrushing this time, I guess I over did it.
