3 Little Bears, complete

This rug is complete with the Sky Blue married into the other blues in the sky. I like the plaid pants on Father Bear LOL. Marilyn is a little camera shy but she is here showing her beautiful BlueNose Rug Print.

Summer Flowers

Thought I'd share this beautiful rug pattern designed and hooking by Marilyn B. , Marilyn was at a Deanne Fitzpartick Workshop recently and created this beautiful rug. You might notice that this rug is mounted on a board and is going to be hung over her doorway. Deanne has a way of bring the best inspiration and creativity out of people.

Loonie, she is coming along nicely

Gracie was in to visit with her Loon Rug Pattern, I think she has done an excellent job to-date. As I mentioned earlier she is using the dip dyed from Teal to Burundy Red. The Loon is in a Recycled Pattern with the outline in Black. She hooked his eye in a brown/orange color with white. We have picked out my #22 Blue for the lower water area.

Dip Dip and Dry

Step One: Dip the Teal, I run out of this color and had to dye more this weekend. Hope I get it close in color.

Step Two: Dye the other side, just a little bit at first to get an orange softer color and leave the tails in the water to soak up extra color.

Off to the Clothes Line, it was warm enough here today to dry outside. Notice the piece on the right side I used a little of the red to overdye this one, yummmy.....

Loon on the Water

Gracie has her wool that I dyed and Nancy helped her get the pattern on, this pattern is designed from the Loon on the Water money bank shown in an early posting, the shape is landscape with a basic border on Scottish Burlap. I will update the Blog if Gracie comes back with her rug.

Three Bears

Remember the story of the 3 Bears, everyone remembers that one. I have several photos of this pattern hooking with different colors and shading. We had to dye some Sky Blue for this lady to finish her rug. I like the green along the bottom with the little white flowers.

Rug Hooked Purse

Photo of this unique little purse, it's of a birdhouse with flowers along the bottom, this was a lady at my house today and I said "o can I take a picture of your purse?" she looked at me confused at first but was also impressed that I asked her. Thanks Marilyn.

Frog Update

I'll show you my little bit of work done on the frog pattern, the border outlined and I'm filling it in now. There are some girls coming to the house today, I'm hoping they will bring me updates on their projects.

Light Reading

I've not been rug hooking much this week, found some interesting books at the Library. I guess I need to get that entrance walls done and move some furniture; I've gotten rid of some clutter in the house. It fells better already, if I even use 10% of this Feng Shui I'll be on the right track. I know now that I'm a Yin, Metal and Earth.

on to the Border

My frog is done, have to do the border now; black and very dark green or ummmm ..... black and dark blue, after that his haircut. There is another little rug pattern attached, I know I know I'm slow moving.

Looking out my Window

Thought I would show you the view from my side window Tuesday morning looking toward the neighbors house and up the street, a tree ripped down the power off of the neighbors house and several trees were down along the street. Power was out in most of Amherst and areas all day and some people even into Wednesday ; I've heard on the news this morning a few people in the nearby communities are still without power. Just checking the temperature it's below -11 right now so I pray for anyone dealing with these cold temperatures.

Froggie is coming along nicely

Last Night , I got to curl up and do a little rug hooking for myself , Froggie had to have a change in the color of his lilypad, the dark blue water color washed it right out. He's lunch 'the fly' in the top left corner finally came together, my first try he looked more like a butterfly LOL. I enjoy just making it up as I go.
