Scrape, Scrape and Scrape some more

Well I spend the morning scrapping wallpaper and I'm over half way done. This is not your normal wallpaper removal job, this wallpaper comes off in 2 layers and lots of wallpaper paste. I started this project a few months ago and was so pissed off that it I just left it. I rented a wallpaper stripper that day and started early in the morning as I was told that "O that wallpaper will just peel off" BullS* after 3 hours nothing but a wet floor and a facial.

On a good note, I finished the webpage re-code. I had to cut, copy and paste some of the content but it will all be worth it. There's not alot of content on the site yet and I still have lots of images to replace but, at least I'm on the right path.

I bought my new name also as it was not available to me at the time. I will be but for now I'm still

  1. Its never fun doing renovations in an older home. Nothing is simple. But you made me laugh.

  2. Corine

Years ago in Toronto, I had the same dilemma and rented one of those sure-fired wallpaper removers. THEY DON'T WORK!!

Takes elbow grease and hot water in a spray bottle. Every once in awhile, I think about putting up some wallpaper. I give my head a shake and remember what it is like to remove.

  3. You know this is my 4th house and I have removed alot of wallpaper in my time, but this one takes the cake. There is the creamy white top pattern with the stripes on the bottom area and the border in the middle, so you can't even tear the paper off from top to bottom as the border stops the flow. I promise to post wool related stuff tomorrow, the Boston Terrier are almost done.

  4. Oh the joys of removing wallpaper. I made a pledge after removing several rooms of wallpaper in our present house that I would never buy another house that had ANY wallpaper in it--no matter how good the deal. Oh just thinking about it is giving me a flashback and I'm breaking out into a cold sweat.......
