Sooooo to properly hook this rug I have attached a second piece of burlap underneath with safety pins keeping the tension, and now hooking through 2 pieces of burlap.
Last night's accomplishment was two small green sections, there is a positive to a larger rug for the fall and winter months they are very warm on your lap. LOL
I will update everyone weekly but I can't promise a completed rug by Christmas.

Wow--what a challenge! My first attempt at rug hooking was on burlap and I found it very difficult. In fact, I put it away and didn't try rug hooking again for many years. Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteTks, I always hook on burlap but with 2 layers it's crazy I have to push with the palm of my hand to get some wool though, after I get the torn areas done, I'll try to cut the second level off and shouldn't be as bad.
